3PT CONTEST - AUGUST 31, 2024
The 3PT shootout will feature four age divisions. Both boys and girls can compete in each of the divisions.
OPEN AGE GROUP - Any athlete (or parent) who is over the age of 18 will be eligible to participate in this age group. The open age group will shoot from the FIBA 3PT line.
U17/U18 - Athletes who are going to be U17 or U18 for the 2024/25 season can enter this age bracket. This age group will shoot from the FIBA 3PT line.
U15/U16 - Athletes who are going to be U15 or U16 for the 2024/25 season can enter this age bracket. This age group will shoot from the FIBA 3PT line.
U13/U14 - Athletes who are going to be U13 or U14 for the 2024/25 season can enter this age bracket. This age group will shoot from the high school 3PT line.
PRIZE FOR DIVISION WINNER - $100 Gift card to Sportschek
SCHEDULE FOR AUGUST 31 - Below is the schedule for each of the age divisions. Participants will be given their specific order of shooting once they arrive for their division.
4:30PM to 5:30PM - U13/14 & U15/16 (the divisions will shoot at the same time but there will be individual prizes for each age group)
5:30PM to 6:15PM - U17+
COMPETITION RULES
1) There will be a maximum of 20 competitors for each age group.
2) A round consists of 25 shots (5 spots on the court and 5 shots from each spot). Each round will be 1 minute in length.
3) Each athlete will shoot two rounds and their combined score will be taken into account for the finals.
In the event of a tie for qualification, the tied athletes will shoot another round to declare the winners.
4) The top four shooters will move on to a final round where the scores reset. The athlete with the best score in the final round will be declared the winner.

5) The winner of each division will be awarded a $100 gift certificate.
**Please note that while we are a registered charity with the CRA, we are still pending with the CRA examiner regarding tax receipts account. Therefore we will be giving out tax receipts once that has been approved.
