Come join us for an afternoon of basketball and compete in our 2 Ball Contest to raise funds for our cause. The winning team for each division will also win a prize (a $75 gift card for each athlete to Sport chek).
We will have age divisions from U12 to U19, please select your age group from the list below. The competition schedule is as follows:
12PM - 1PM (U12)
1PM - 2PM (U13)
2PM - 3PM (U14)
3PM - 4PM (U15)
4PM - 5PM (U16)
5PM - 6PM (U17)
6PM - 7PM (18+)
RULES:
1 - Each team is made up of two players (this event is coed so teams can be mixed or same gender).
2 - Each round is 60 seconds in length. Each team will have 3 rounds to accumulate as many points as possible.
3 - Teammates have to alternate who shoots the ball. One player cannot take two shots in a row.
4 - The team cannot shoot two consecutive shots from the same spot.
5 - Each player on the team cannot take two consecutive shots from the same spot.
6 - There are 5 spots on the court, each worth a different amount depending on the distance from the hoop.
7 - If a team scores at least once from each spot, they get a 10-point bonus. The bonus can only be applied once during each round.
8 - The player must have at least one foot on the mat before jumping in order for the shot to count.
9 - The top 8 teams with the best overall score (scores of all three rounds added up, will move on to the playoffs). The scores from all three rounds will be added up in order to create a top 8 ranking.
10 - There is a maximum of 16 teams in each division
11 - Teams will be able to use the appropriate size basketball depending on their age.
