Our organization is committed to breaking down barriers that often limit access to organized sports for underprivileged youth, ensuring that every child has the chance to discover their full potential.
Stepping to Success leverages the expert coaching staff of Eurostep Basketball Inc. to provide high-quality basketball training, as well as the mentorship that kids need to grow and flourish.

About the Program
What We Do
Stepping to Success (STS) is the charitable arm of Eurostep Basketball Inc. The sole purpose of the charity is to help provide athletes with training and life opportunities that they would otherwise not have. The charity raises money through events, fundraisers, and donations.
Athletes of all ages, genders, and skill levels are welcome to apply for financial assistance. Families are eligible to receive financial assistance if they fall under one of the following categories:
1) Low income families - These amounts are set out by the charity with guidance from the government of Canada.
2) If a family lives in neighbourhoods that are designated as an improvement area by the government.
3) If the athlete lives in a single-parent home.
FINANCIAL AID METRICS
LOW INCOME
Stepping to Success uses the Low-income cut-offs (LICO) guidelines set out by the Employment and Social Development Canada. For 2026 the government has set the thresholds are as follows:
2 Persons - $38,922
3 Persons - $47,851
4 Persons - $58,096
5 Persons - $65,892
6 Persons - $74,315
SINGLE PARENT HOUSEHOLD
Any household that is a single parent household is automatically eligible for financial assistance (expect in those cases where the household gross income is greater that $75,000 per year). If you gross income is above this mark you can still apply but the amount of assistance is reduced.
LIVING IN AN NEIGHBOURHOOD IMPROVEMENT AREA (NIA)
These are the areas of the city that have been designated by the government as higher risk areas for children. If you live in these areas of the city, you are eligible for financial assistance. To find out if you fall under this area please follow these steps:
1) Click on the MAP
2) Under filters select "Neighbourhood Improvement Area”
3) At the top of the map enter your address to see if it falls within the highlighted area.
